Project Overview

OLG Engineering were commissioned to deliver the Detailed Design package for a £250m facility to store low level nuclear waste at Sellafield. The scope of works included:

  • The control of the master P&ID’s
  • BIM Control & meta data

Detailed Design for the Piping systems, Stress Analysis, Civil, Structural and Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering, act as the Technical Authority.

Project Review

This 3 year project peaking at 60 people was delivered on NEC 3 Contract providing Project Management, Planning, Reporting and Document Control.

Our Solution

The Detailed Design package resulted in over 5,000 design documents and reports.

OLG Engineering provided:

  • Full systems design stress analysis and reports
  • Piping Isometircs circa 850 – Structural GA’s / drawing circa 2350
  • Datasheets for the equipment, vessels, valves and instruments
  • Control System Hook ups for all Equipment.

OLG Engineering are currently providing commissioning support on an ad hoc basis.
